Corrections policy
We get things wrong sometimes. When we do, we fix it in the open.
How to report an error
Use our contact page or email [email protected]. Include the article link, what's wrong, and a source that shows the correct fact, such as official documentation or a company announcement.
How fast we respond
We check every report against the primary source. We aim to correct confirmed errors within 2 business days. If a report doesn't hold up, we keep the article as it is.
How we label corrections
- Corrections: when a fact, number, price, date or name was wrong, we fix it and add a dated note saying what changed, at the top of the article for errors that change its meaning, otherwise at the end.
- Updates: when the facts themselves change (a new price or a new limit), we add a dated "What changed" note and update the article's Updated date.
- Small fixes: typos, broken links and formatting are fixed without a note, as long as no fact changes.
No silent edits
We never change a fact without a note, and we never change an article's dates unless the content really changed. If a correction changes a recommendation, we say so plainly.
